The AMAZING Mother Load Sale Seller Commission Rates:
- 75% - Commission earned if seller tags their items, places them on the sales floor during Friday night set-up time , plus seller works a 4-hour volunteer shift on either Fri., Sat. or Sun.
- 65% - Commission earned if seller doesn't work a volunteer shift - DOES tag their items, places their own items on the sales floor on Friday,then picks up their items up on-site at end of sale on Sunday afternoon.
- 55% - Commission earned if seller tags their items for the sale, then simply drops them off on site Friday afternoon. (30-item minimum) TMLS unloads your car for you, then staff places those items neatly on the sales floor. Seller also picks up what did not sell (or donate) at end of sale on Sunday or arranges for meet/pick-up.Seller can still earn BONUS commission by working a volunteer shift themselves as well as bringing new sellers and/or volunteers to TMLS - see chart below! .
- *** BONUS COMMISSION - UP TO 100%:
- BONUS +10% - for working a 4-hour volunteer shift on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
- BONUS +5% - for each NEW seller or NEW volunteer current seller refers to TMLS
- BONUS +5% - for each ManPower set-up or take-down shift worked
Want to be a seller, but you can't come Friday Night (or don't want to come) to set your items out on the sales floor? NO PROBLEM! * NEW * Friday Night Seller Drop Off Option - Sellers are no longer be required to participate in Friday night's set-up process. Sellers opting out (and therefore earning 10% less profit) will now be able to make prior arrangements to simply DROP OFF their items for TMLS staff to place on the sales floor for them on Friday night. These sellers are still be eligible to work a Saturday or Sunday volunteer shift, as well as sign up for ManPower shifts, etc. to earn extra commission.

How to Become a Seller:
Step 1:
- Read, print and complete The Mother Load Sale Seller’s Contract (FULL!) Send the contract, along with $10 seller’s fee, and self-addressed stamped envelope to address at top of contract. Once all three have been received by The Mother Load Sale, you will get email confirmation including your seller number, the latest updates for the upcoming sale and detailed instructions to begin using the EASY computerized barcode system for tagging your items. ** If someone you know recommend TMLS to you, list them on your contract and they will receive 5% bonus commission.
Step 2:
- Register online for barcoding system. Directions included in confirmation email mentioned above.

- Print and familiarize yourself with the layout of TMLS Floor Plan (see Printable Pages tab) the week prior to the sale and group your items accordingly. Arrive at the sale location at 5:40PM the Friday night before the sale to sign in and get required nametag. (no name tag, no entry) Come prepared to place your items on the sales floor. Your items will be inspected for quality and proper preparation as they are placed on the sales floor.
Step 5:
- Shop at the EXCLUSIVE Friday Night PreSale - between 7-9 PM.
Step 6:
- If you have signed up as volunteer in order to maximize your profits, work your volunteer shift.
Step 7:
- Pick up your unsold items during designated pick-up time after the sale between 5-5:30PM on Sunday. Unclaimed items will be donated to charity or become the property of The Mother Load Sale, LLC. * NEW * Seller Check out will involve a thorough inspection of seller bins to make sure all items going home with sellers are indeed their items.
Step 8:
- Get paid! You will receive your check in the mail within 7 business days.
Sellers can earn up to 100% commission with the NEW SELLER Referral Program!
Current sellers can earn an extra 5% commission for each NEW seller you refer to The Mother Load Sale!
Working a volunteer shift, then bringing in 5 new sellers (and/or combo of NEW non-selling volunteers - see bottom of page) can earn you up to a full 100% of your sales!
There are 3 rules for you to receive the extra 5% credit:
(1) The new seller must list your full name on the referral line of their registration form BEFORE
they mail it in - it can't be added after we receive it and writing in "a friend" will not earn anyone
credit. NO exceptions will be made so MAKE SURE they know to list your name as the person who
referred them to TMLS.
(2) The new seller must meet the 30-item minimum. The barcoding system will verify that for us.
(3) The new seller must actually show up with their items for the sale.
However, the new seller is not obligated to sign up as a volunteer and earns 65%, or 75% if they do work a shift. Once a new seller is registered with TMLS, they can then begin boosting their own sales commission by referring THEIR friends!

Current sellers can earn an extra 5% commission for each NEW non-selling VOLUNTEER you refer to TMLS!
There are 2 rules for you to receive the extra 5% credit:
(1) The NEW volunteer must list your full name on the referral line of their Vol registration form BEFORE
they mail it in - it can't be added after we receive it and writing in "a friend" will not earn anyone credit. NO
exceptions will be made so MAKE SURE they know to list your name as the person who referred them to TMLS.
(2) The new volunteer must actually show up and work their entire assigned shift!
** All non-selling volunteers, whether attached to a seller or not, are invited to shop at the exclusive Friday Night PreSale from 7-9pm.
